Former supermodel Christie Brinkley closed out the 2023 year with a stunning photo of herself and her adult daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook. The 69-year-old mother of three could pass for Sailor’s sister, as she looked gorgeous in a hot red slip-on dress that matched her lipstick.

She wished her followers a good year ahead while encouraging them to prepare ahead of the upcoming elections. “Happy New Year, Everybody!” she wrote. “Wishing everyone health, happiness and love! And don’t forget 2024 is an election year, so please make sure you are registered to vote! We’ve got to save this beautiful planet together!”

Also pictured in the shot was Sailor’s brother, Jack Paris Brinkley Cook, from Christie’s third marriage to real estate developer Richard Taubman. Disappointingly, Christie’s other daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, from her second marriage, was not present in the photos. Sailor, a model like her mother, wore a shimmery backless dress that showed off her slender figure.

Sailor has attributed much of her career success to Christie, whose “biggest advice” to her was “to be as gracious as you can.” “I always try and introduce myself to everyone in the room. And I always try and acknowledge everyone in the room. Because I mean, my job is almost pretty much the easiest,” she told PEOPLE magazine. “That’s what she taught me, is to really acknowledge my surroundings while I’m in it and not be a diva and have fun with the creatives that I’m working with.”

According to the multiple-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl, looking ageless is a result of her daily routine. “It’s what you do EVERY DAY that will determine how healthy and vibrant you look and feel! Sleep well, eat a rainbow organic diet, stay hydrated, and protect and care for your skin 24 hours a day,” she advised. “It’s up to you. It’s in your hands! I have a very little structure in my job and life but these are the things that I do every day to power me and fuel me through my busy days.”
